CIRCULAR SAWBLADE - LEVELLING & RE-TENSIONING
Re-tensioning and levelling of a sawblade is needed when a blade loses tension through thermal stress, log jamming, twisting or blistering. Levelling & re-tensioning ensures that every blade will run straight and true without vibration or wobbling, hence rectifying behavior such as run off, dishing, leaning over and snaking of blades in a cut.
This process ensures that each cut is straight and accurate, giving the best results and maximum yield from the timber being cut. In addition it also ensures the safety of the machinery and the operator, as a blade that wobbles and vibrates can quickly become dangerous should the wobbling not be arrested. This can result in damage to the blade, the machine and/or the operator of the machinery.
